One man and his (borrowed) dog
A day made for a walk in the countryside.
A sense of restlessness indoors. Bright blue skies out. Birds in song. Long shadows. Crisp air. Company.
I have been walking Sophie for a couple of years now, although I have been somewhat remiss lately in terms of regularity and length of walk because of general malaise and workload on my part.
She was keener than usual to go. And that's extremely keen to the point of hysteria.
Halfway around our circuit and shortly before the above photograph was taken, she had frollicked and been chased by two Jack Russells. She was enjoying her walk and steaming away ahead of me, which is when I took the photo, hoping to get both of our lengthy shadows in shot.
I almost made it. Possibly. She was a bit too quick. And I was fumbling to retrieve the camera. Hey ho. It's a shot of my elongated shadow, mainly then.
